I wonder why this has made news and not Jesus's grave in India.
Crucifixion was a punishment for thieves and only the very weak died on the cross. The punishment was a way for them to be humiliated, scorned and hated by the people, the intention was not to kill the thieves. So it is quite probable that Jesus survived and natural for him to follow the Silk Road and end up in India, the birthplace (now Nepal) of Buddha and the country whose people celebrate many Gods.

I am one of the ex christian, tainted for life and censored people

after leaving "the faith" my views expanded and I saw more teachings from Asia in Jesus' parables and instruction, more like Confusious than an elitist martyr

Japanese culture matches the teachings of Jesus much better than the US consumerism based 'more is better' idealogy

our interpretation of Jesus' teachings went from

if someone strikes you, turn the other cheek to

hit the person you think may strike you first.. pre emption

loving our neighbors became loving our church members

if you study all religions you will see some basic continuity, respect for life, love yourself as neighbor, be active and strive for peace not domination

however we see conquest and domination instead, wars and battles to eliminate and kill all opposition

and...by saying christian, are you talking about the followers of Paul or Jesus...'Saul' was a Roman Citizen but we follow his revelation that superceeded Jesus teachings now, which also advocate intollerance and condemnation for unbelievers and suspicion of those you don't agree with, calling them even own converts unbelievers or 'another Jesus'

I think there is more we don't know and less we know

do like Thomas Jefferson, take your bible and cut out only the words in red, what a different interpretation

Another claim was that he went to India. People still see Elvis all over the world, I am having enough trouble tracking Elvis. There is no limits to the deranged minds..
Jesus was a great man with teachings. There are ethics in the "heavenly books" and there are myths. Follow the ethics, they are worthwhile. The myth is just that, myth. The ethics are the core of decent human behavior so take as much of it as you can.

i agree that Jesus escaped Jerusalem and made his way toKashmir, India. He fell into a swoon on the Cross, but when he was taken down from it, he recovered and migrated to Kashmir, India where he died a natural death at the age of 120. Not in Japan

I have been studying the Bible for over 40 years and have yet to come across any information backing up this claim. However I have discovered that I could dig a hole in my back yard and put and cross on it and a crown and call it the Grave of Jesus and there would be some nuts that would break their necks to see it, yet they won't walk down the street to the local Church to hear the real Gospel of Christ: that Jesus Saves.

Well, it would certainly put a major kink in the fundamental beliefs of Christianity. If true, it would mean Jesus did not die on the cross and therefore Christians remain unredeemed by his blood. I quite frankly don't believe Jesus moved to Japan and that one of his brother's took his place.

This has to be one of the strangest made up stories I have ever heard! Someone apparently wanted some easy cash - made up a big story and found a lot of suckers willing to get rid of their money.

Yet one more story to confuse and confound in the latter days-Like the Mormon's stories about Jesus' travels in America, like many other stories through the ages-just intended to cause confusion.

Nothing Strange with this claim.....
a Lie repeated becomes truth.(we have many experiences about this technique, it is not necessary to brink any examples).
Just give 100-200 Years and Jesus will become Japanese....(It took just 100 years for Jesus to become from carpenter Son of God and savior, not difficult to become Japanese).
