God Hates Homos or Homosexual acts? I am especially interested in this as Jesus appears to approve of same-sex couples as written in the healing of the centurion's servant (Matthew 8:5-13). Jesus didn't denounce their relationship.

So where is it written?

THIS SAYS NOTHING ABOUT THE LIFESTYLE OF HOMOS OR LAYING WITH ANOTHER MAN? More specific please.

I don't know about you, but I especially love the Bible thumpers who proclaim - "God doesn't hate fags...I mean, gays...He just hates your lifestyle!"

That's kind of like a divine shell game, don't y'think?

1 Cor. 6:9, 10 says, "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inhearit the kindgom of God? Do not be deceived. neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inhearit the kingdom of God.

God hates the sin but loves the sinner. Many, in fact all have sinned but when you come to Jesus you need to turn from your sin and not do it any more. WE do not live a perfect life even though we are told we can if we choose to but if we truly want to get past it, we can.

Now where does it say the Centurian was having a homosexual affair with his servant? I think you are reading much more into it than is really there. A servant is like a maid or butler would be today, not a sexual partner. The rich had servents and the poor were the servants as we have today but it does not mean he was having an affair with that servant. The centurian knew he was not worthy to have Jesus come to his home as he was a Roman and he knew Jesus was the Son of God and a Jew at that. At that time a Jew and a Roman did not mingle together as they all do today as it was against the law to do it. That is why Cornelius was so hesitant about going to Peter as it was just not done that way. Cornelius was considered unclean by the Jewish nation but as it said in the account, the vision was to let Peter know it was not to be that way, that there was to be no unclean people that you do not have anything to do with but to take Cornelius into his home and teach him of Jesus. Most will tell you it is saying to eat anything you want as God has cleansed it but it states very clearly it is talking about MAN, not beasts. So now you know at least one place it is written that God hates the act of homosexuality, not the person doing it. He loves the person but hates the sin. If you continue in the practice of the sin, you will not go to Heaven.

John 3:16 God loves all mankind. It is the sin that we do he hates.
God is willing to forgive us if we change our ways. We must
repent and turn around from doing what is bad in God eyes. He
forgives in a large way. We can change it we truly want to and with God's help it can happen. 1 Corinthians 6:9,10,11. It takes time and work on our part to do what God requires of us. Romans 6:23 2Peter 3:9 Where did you get the idea that the
Army Officer was in a same sex relationship with his Servant.

The centurion said, Lord my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy. That has nothing to do with homosexuals. Man what bible are you reading. Let me guess a so called bible written for homos. Read Romans 1:27. God doesnt hate anyone , but hates there sin.

Oh this one got several answers when asked yesterday.
they are going to give you some verses about something about laying with others or such...
It dont come out and say anything of it! It comes right out and says "If anyone haves sexual relations with an animal they shall be killed." So if he really had a thing against gay people it would have said the same thing about gay people. Besides it says "love your neighbor" It dont love love your neighbor unless he is gay.
That comes from people reading too much into what the bible says.
The bible was written how many years ago and how many laws have changed since then? Come on people. Just face it if the bible really says it then it would clearly state it. It states other things clearly. You have to read the whole chapter to understand what its talking about not just one passage! As far as Im concerned no bible I ever saw says its written by GOD. Therefor as far as im concerned its all hearsay. Unless it was written by God Im not to sure it came from him directly word for word.

* In Leviticus 18:22 it says " Do not lie with a man as one lies with a women; that is detestable."

First of all understand that God does not hate the PERSON, He hates the BEHAVIOR. Read Romans 1:26-27

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men leaving the natural use of the woman burned in their lust one toward another: men with men working that which is shameful and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error (sin) which is due

God does not hate the person he hates the vile, un natural behavior.

What relationship. This was a man with many servants, at least 100 to be a centurion. Are you saying he had 100 homosexual servants??? The bible makes no mention of any of them being homosexual.

God does not hate homos.
However he is against homosexual acts.
What do you understand by 1 Corinthians 6:9?
BTW What do you read at Matthew 8, that leads you to believe the centurion was not straight?

God doesn't hate "homos". He hates what they do. The Bible often calls the act of having sex with members of the same sex an abomination. He puts the act in the came category as having sex with the parent, having sex with an animal and even murder.

Many of them confuse lust with love and identity with behavior. (One may love a cat, but one should not be allowed to marry a cat.)

It could be compared with a murderer saying, "God doesn't hate me for being a murderer. That is who I am."

The definition of a servant does not mean "boyfriend." The servant was an employee. Many people form nonsexual emotional ties to their staff.
