Oh come on, don't just answer with 'yes' - tell me.

Not 'even', I meant 'ever'.

It's good to talk... even if you're by yourself. I have full scale rows with people; I shout, swear and curse at them... and yet, they're not there. This morning I had a very heated argument with my Dad; I told him exactly what I thought of him and how his behaviour was unacceptable! I felt so much better afterwards because I'd got everything off my chest.Truth is, my Dad died a year ago... and I was sitting in the bath pointing my finger at the bath taps and going on and on and on...
I said to my neighbour (for real), "if you ever hear me ranting and raving, don't worry - I'm just talking to myself".
I think, if anyone does catch you talking to yourself, they'll just be glad that it was you and not them that got caught, I would recommend a little 'one-liner' that you could practise... something to say to whoever catches you! Something like, "Don't worry... I talk to myself quite often but I don't have hairs on the palms of my hands!"
I think everyone talks to themselves. Our thoughts move too quickly and talking aloud keeps a nice steady pace on things. I find it excellent therapy. Sometimes if I do have to argue with someone about something embarrassing or uncomfortable, I always know the right things to say (because I've already had the argument 10 times over by myself!)
If anyone tries to tell you that you're mad or bad because you talk to yourself... they are disrespecting you! You have every right!
If anyone tries to tell you that they never talk to themselves... don't trust them! They are either mad or bad.

Sure- I was talking to myself just yesterday and my friend walked in on me. We both just started cracking up. I know i'm not crazy or anything, but i like to talk alot. So even if i am alone, sometimes i will just continue to ramble on about little things even though i know no one is listening. I don't really see what the big deal is; people think that if you talk to yourself than you are pyscho. I guess i wouldn't really consider it talking to myself as much as i would consider it talking- just to no one (in particular.)

***Wow, do people really get embarrassed over stuff like that? You all should really learn how to laugh at yourselves!***

Everybody does it at times & you feel really embarrassed. Pity really as by talking to yourself you know you're going to get an intelligent conversation with somebody who really understands you.

Best solution to overcome the embarrassment is to wear a mobile phone headset.

Yes, sometimes it's embarassing. I wear a bluetooth in my ear, now people don't know I'm talking to myself, they think I'm talking to some really strange person on the phone!

Yes. A bunch of times. It's really embarrassing. I think everyone talks to themselves though, so it shouldn't be.

Usually when I'm in a supermarket..... ("Right, i want butter..... milk...... oh and some eggs")...... When I miss the bus! Thats hilarious. I witter on to myself..... ("Blooming typical! He saw me running for it!)........Hehe!....... And probably almost everywhere..... I just haven't realised it yet. All of these scenarios have been watched by onlookers and they just smile at me knowing that deep down..... they do it too!!!! Hehe! ;-)
