This is a very important and personal choice, only you can make. What is right for me, may not be right for you.

Only you can answer that question. Don't join the Hare Krishnas or Aryans until you have read a little and examined what's in your heart. You don't have to be part of ANY religion to be spiritual. There is no quick answer for that question, it takes a long time to find one that fits or find none fit.

I would go with Hinduism.

You should choose that which you feel most comfortable with, but there is no reason you HAVE to choose on your 18th birthday. There is no reason that you should have to choose at all.

18 is still young. There are many other religions in the world, not just christianity and hinduism. There is also the option of having no religion. Christianity and Hinduism make statements about the nature of God and the nature of reality. Your beliefs regarding the nature of reality should be determined by your judgements regarding reality, not by your family's beliefs.

Just be who you are and resist labels and categorisation.

If anyone is demanding, insist that you need more time to explore the choices and decide.

Remember, it's not like subscribing to a newspaper or something. The important thing is how you feel and what you believe - you can't force that upon yourself.

And there's nothing in the world wrong with not having a fixed definite religion. Just be yourself.

Labels are only useful in clothing shops.

I guess you are a pagan. You never mentioned if you've been baptized or underwent any hindu ritual so that you can be a hindu. Your faternal lineage belongs to the Christian religion.

First off why do you have to choose? Secondly have you read about either of these religons, do you understand them, are you complled put faith in either of them if not then don't choose either one. Relgion is simply dogma and rules, Spirituality and faith should come from the heart and make you happy to belive in something it should offer a sense of peace, and it should come because it's something you want, not something you are forced to do.

Be christian !

Christian religion is always better than a polytheistic religion!
Christian is the right way, hinduism is the wrong way.
To believe in one god is a higher religion, than believe in many gods!
