I just read those verses, never mind it is not even worth trying to explain. You have be have knowledge of the history behind those statements in order to understand what was going on at that time.
But, I will say to you, at least you are picking up the Bible and looking through it, keep up the good work and maybe one day you will understand what it is all about. God bless you in your learning.

1st off, Samual and Saul were punished by god for doing what they did.
The 1st Palms verses you talk about was about 10 plegues of egypt. So yes he killed the 1st born in egypt and that isn't only infants.
The third set of psalms talks about the worshiping of false god's in Babylon.
How did I figure that one. Maybe because I read 2 chapters into it.

......stop worrying if the bible is good or bad...its just a load of old codswallop. Buy the Razzle, Penthouse or XXX blue magazine instead. It will help you take your mind off the question of whether or not the bible is real and if god and Jesus were real people. At least you can have a tug at the Razzle..whoever heard of somebody having a stroke over the bible....Throw it away...its a jewish rag mag and the jokes are crap too!

God was created by middle aged men from the Middle East so they created Him in their image. That why God hates sex so much b/c they were past their prime.
What is wrong with being a good human being for the sake of goodness, not from fear of hell or waiting for this paradise? Organized religion is causing so much hatred, pain a suffering. My humble opinion. Stop hating each other over things written so long ago.

You should read the whole thing and think of it in the spiritual sense...its not physical all the time...you should talk to a pastor or youth leader or something like that and just ask the questions....they can tell you the anwsers better then we can.
