My dog eats grass every day regardless of what I feed him and as he is fed a high quality appropriate diet for his size, breed and age I don't think it's because he has an upset stomach.
Sounds a bit gross but take a look when your dog goes to the toilet and if the bowel movements are all looking okay you've probably not got an upset stomach - although make sure you keep him wormed every 3 months as recommended by a vet (it's pretty cheap) to make sure his digestive system is tip top.
I asked the vet when I went for worming tablets once and he said not to worry about my dog eating the grass, he does it all the time when we're out - he'll run across the field and just snatch the occasional mouthful of grass as a snack and really seems to enjoy the taste!

Almost every dog eats grass occasionally. Some people believe a dog eats grass when they have an upset stomach. Actually, no one really knows why dogs eat grass. It may be that they just like the taste! Sometimes a salad is a nice change. Most veterinarians believe that dogs eat grass simply because they like it, and vomiting just naturally follows. In fact, many dogs will search out a certain kind of grass for a snack, leaving other grasses alone.

what do you mean by fed well? is it quality food or just a lot of food ??? it's a sign of an upset stomach..... too much "bad stuff " in the food ....stay away from any dog food that has red in it as the manafactures use blood in the food for the protien..... i would recommend pro plan food and if it's an older dog 7+ yrs. get the senior formula it's much easier on the digestive tract and will improve the dogs coat also ! i did have a dog years ago that would eat grass within 24hours of a storm...she was 90+ % accurate my kids used to think i was "pullin' their leg " until they started to take note and agreed it was as accurate if not more so than the local weatherman.... hmmmm. something to ponder

My dog used to eat grass when she had an upset stomach. She'd eat grass until she was sick.
Not sure if this was just a quirk of my dog or if many dogs behave in this way.
It may be a sign of an upset stomach and if your dog is doing this fairly regularly, I'd suggest consulting your vet.

As long as your lawn is mushroom free and has not been treated with harmful chemicals, do not be concerned if your dog occasionally munches on a few blades of grass. It really is common canine behaviour.
Eating grass is not a sign of illness. If, however, there are signs of ill health such as excessive vomiting, vomiting not associated with grass eating, loss of appetite, diarrhoea, weight loss, lack of energy, or any other symptoms of illness - call your vet.

Dogs eat grass to help them vomit. They usually eat grass when they have eaten something that they didnt like and orgiving them an upset stomach. I'm not saying you dont feed your dogs well, sometimes dogs go outside and eat yucky things, that arent to great for their dogs stomach, therefore they want to expell it out of their systems, by eating some grass.

Dogs eat grass if they are not feeling 100%. They can make themselves sick by eating grass, getting rid of something upsetting their tummy. My dog does the same thing from time to time, so i mentioned it to the vet and she told me the above reason.

Dogs usually eat grass when their stomach is upset. It does not hurt them unless the grass is sprayed with something.

All dogs do it. Occasionally they do it to get rid of the content of their stomach, but a lot of the time, it seems, for no particular reason.
May be it's just like some humans would nibble a piece of raw celery.
