In your first scripture it states along with the Ten Commandments to "Honor your Father and Mother". If you don't it is SIN. Sin brings Death. That is why it says in Matthew 15, "let him die the death." Therefore, if you chose to Sin you can. And you know the outcome. DEATH.
Your Second scripture - Jesus in earlier verses of this chapter, was talking with a Rich Man. And Jesus told the Rich Man to sell all that he has and follow him. The Rich Man couldn't see past his wealth. And wasn't willing to give up what truly wasn't his in the first place.
Jesus was trying to teach this Rich Man that basically, God comes first, not his worldly possessions. The Rich Man walked away.
Then later, Jesus made a point that if YOU chose him FIRST, above everything else, you shall receive all that you need here and hereafter.
Your third scripture is the same as the first.
Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John(Gospels) are writting about the same experince.
(Reminds me of something funny. A lady was reading the Bible and didn't really know the Bible that well. She started in the New Testament. She finished with the first four books. And she stated, she didn't know Jesus was hung on the cross 4 Times!)

People with mental illness require strict regimes in their lives, such as getting up at the same time, wiping their hands a certain way, receiving praise when they get a pedestrian something right.
The Jewish religion, from what I have seen, in General, is a way of surviving the harsh desert environment in which they lived:
Washing Hands (before eating, etc), Circumcision (Reducing Infection), 10 Commandments (to stop them all killing each other - in their pursuit for Golden Calves, etc), and the best example: Not Eating Pork (as that had a habit off killing people back then).
Did Jesus do all of the things the Bible said he did, answer: YES...
However, does the Bible say Yashua Bar Joseph, from Nazareth did these things, answer: NO...
The Biblical Jesus was based on Yashua (the Guy Crucified some 2000 years ago), but most likely was not an ACCURATE representation of him.
Christians are lead and told what to believe, Free Thought & Free Will are not welcome in their Sinagogues of Satan - If you want to keep as much of your God Given Free Will as possible do not partake in MASS Legionesque events - Religion, Football, Wars, etc...

wow, you must think a lot of Christianity - reading the bible or even thinking enough of it to search the web, that's great. you have it a little wrong here with this. you see, if you were to abandon your wife and children and follow Jesus, it actually means the opposite of your thoughts. for those that follow Christ take care of their wife better than themselves and also their children. Christ is telling them that by putting Him first, all will be come clear.
Christ spoke often in parables. You may also want to read the entire verse or even chapter to make sure you are getting the meaning correct. remember in spelling bees when you'd ask to use the word in a sentence to get t's meaning, well you need to read the sentence in the chapter to get it's full meaning too : )
there are numerous study groups, if you'd like I'm sure people would let you know of one if you let us know the area in which your searching. it's wonderful you're spending some much time trying to figure out Christianity, let's just get you on the freeway and not a side road - you'll understand it much better then : )
God bless!

There are many words translated child in the bible, some mean small children, and some mean 'children' in their twenties. The children Jesus was referring to about dying the death were a lot older then small children. As were those he spoke of leaving.
You see, today we still call our children our children even when they are in their thirties or forties. My mother still referred to me as her child even though I was in my mid thirties.
So don't read literally everything in the word without first rightly dividing it to get the truth. Or you will have error and be condemned by it.

I think the Christians understood Christ's doctrine in the right sense and that is why they don't abandon their children. Have you not read about the love of Jesus for children. Sure, your eyes will not open for those verses. Do you know anyone who abandoned his children to follow Jesus?
The power of the true word of God is visible here. One takes it for his salvation and the other for his destruction.
When Jesus advised the people who followed him to give those who ask, two groups of people were happy. Group one is those who are willing to give. Group two is those who thought if we accompany this people we can ask and get what we want. It is a matter of understanding.

Matthew 15 substitute into taking some lot extra that merely disobeying a determine. He refers relatively to an act wherein a determine, no longer longer waiting to shelter themself, would will their porperties and money to their grownup little ones on a similar time as nevertheless alive. The adults substitute into then obligated to shelter that determine. however the Pharisees had enable the adults to get around the rule of thumb via marking each and everything the gained from their determine as a "present to God". whether, they weren't obligated to furnish that present on a similar time as they have been alive. particularly they left it of their will. contained meanwhile, they have been unfastened to apply the money and belongings as they observed fit, yet no longer would desire to shelter their determine. Sorry, yet leaving your determine penniless to starve, on a similar time as you celebration on their money, is incorrect. Jesus condemnation of that action is right. Matthew 19:29 is adressed to a particular team of folk (see verse 27) who had, for a season, left their kinfolk and different criminal duty to committ themselves to finished time ministry with Jesus. in case you examine the gospels, you will locate that he made 4 different journeys via Israel over a three twelve months era. maximum the place 3-4 months in length. His disciples would connect him for a time to make those journeys, and then return to their popular companies and families something of the time. Jesus assures them that the sacrifice would be rewarded, in this existence and the subsequent. How is that any different then people who often make company journeys or undertaking journeys at present as area of their employment or to serve their church? Mark 7:9 is a repeat of the 1st difficulty. So none of those scriptures advise new child abuse.

You have added a word to your verse - "children" that's not in the Bible either in Matthew or in Exodus or in Leviticus. It is adults who curse their parents.
You have added a word to your verse - "abandon" - and Jesus did not ask them to do that, He said if it came down to a choice between the two Jesus was the right choice.
Mark 7:9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. 10 For Moses said, Honor thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
Where is the word child.
Please don't misquote our Bible and then use your misquote to try and refute us. Speak truth and we will be much more apt to listen to what you say.
