as a breeder for over 20 yrrs i can tell juss by there exspression but common signs are milky coulerd dicharge bein very qiet and wants to be left alone and they can sleep for a long while as well as bein distant wiv u at around 4 to 6 weeks she will not eat for a day or 2 because the pups are positioning thereself in the ***** and she will be feeling full this is why they miss there food dont panick this common in most biches kind regards al

Awww, If you think she is. My bet is.. she is! Congrats! Is she a pure bred? Is the daddy? Then you know to get the papers. Reguardless, you have a responsibility to find these puppies a good home. Sure, consult a vet, if you can. Nature will take it's course, she will be a good Mom! Just make her comfy, feed her well, (not human food but good Science Diet food) She will be fine. Awww. Lots of H2O, too. She will guide you. Make her a comfy box, just about big enough to turn around in. Put in some bedding like old sheets and a blankie. Start counting the days now. Did I say Aww? What fun. Oh, yeah and be ready. She will probably decide to deliver these pups in the middle of the night just before a big meeting with the CEO. Ha Ha. Again, just keep in tune with her. Let me know!

It's hard to tell if a dog is pregnant for the first month. After that she will start getting fat. They are pregnant for 2 months. I just waited to see if she started getting fatter but you can take her to the vet to see.

When Zara my GSD was pregnant we didnt see anything diffrent in her behaver to give it away, one day she was sat in the front room and we just noticed that she looked tubbyer than normal so we took her to some local kennels that han an ultra sound machine like they have in hospitals and the lady scanner her and we could see the wriggly puppies.
It was weeks later that she started nesting and stuff by then we could see them moving when she lay on her side and could feel them.
Seven were born but one didnt make it and they were so cute.

A sure fire way to determine if a b i t c h is pregnant is to examine her vulva.
This enlarges with her season and will stay enlarged during the pregnancy becoming softer and fuller towards the end of her term.
If her vulva is larger than her normal state I would say she is carrying puppies.

Check for swellings in her breast, Take her to the vet to have her check out.

congratulations. take her to the vets and they will scan her for you then you can find out how many are in there and also how much longer she has left.
