1) Learn to go places by yourself and not feel self-conscious. You need to get some social stimulation.
2) Get an affectionate pet.
3) Be a volunteer somewhere - there's nothing like hanging around people worse-off than you to improve your outlook on life.
4) If you don't have an active social life, find substitutes for social situations, such as chatting with people on the internet.

I don't think one needs a partner in life in order to be happy. Be happy with who you are. If you feel lonely, get one or two dogs - they love you unconditionally and are always there for you. Take care and enjoy your life as it is. Also, sometimes people who want a partner in life have to stop looking so hard and just wait for it to happen. Good luck to you.

Having a close and personal relationship with God through Christ Jesus is the way to be joyous in your day to day living whether you are married or single. An unhappy person who thinks that a marriage partner is what's needed to free them from their depressed state is setting them self and any potential future mate up for problems. When a person is complete in Christ then they are ready to join with another person who can complement them as they both serve the Lord. But two people who are still broken who get together usually only form a co-dependant relationship that soon unravels as each person tries to rely upon the other to make them complete.
"As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: Colossians 2:6-10
Proverbs 18:24 A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

The answer is contentment with yourself. I know of a few people who have never had a partner and they are in there late 70's. These lovely people are so open with their life they have no qualm talking to perfect strangers. If you do not have a partner to share your life with does that mean we are insecure, perhaps!
But 7 out of 10 people are content because their are no debates of who is right and who is wrong. In a relationship you have that to look forward to.

wel i cannot realy say god made man and woman to fulfil each other i am not saying one cannot life without the other to be happy. to be truelly fullfilled on this eartha i believe although its a bit traditional that we work, fall in love and have children. the answer to your question is probably to accept that you donot want a partner in your life and to stick to that decision and from there everything will be easier. clearly write down the reasons why you prefer not to have a patner and when you doubt yourself just go back and read it.

There is no one secret. Everybody wants or needs something different out of this life. Do what you want to do. Do the things you enjoy doing.

Well, since human beings are a social species, then I suggest that you make as many friends as possible. Not only will this replace the hole, your brain will stay healthy throughout your life. And ofcourse with a healthy brain, you can pursue whatever you wish. This doesn't mean you have to go into abstinence though, gotta relieve some tension somehow!
good luck.

If you do not have man as your life partner, then God should be your life partner. And deciding to have God as one's life partner should be a call from God.
