Im a junior in high school. I am in a international school in Berlin Germany. Lots of Americans go to my school too. Anyways, last year this girl came to our school because of her moms work. She was only going to stay for one semester. When she was here ( almost a year ago) we kinda started to like each other. We both love music and plan to be proffesional musicians. I didnt like her for how she looked ( she had thick glasses) but I loved her for who she was. Towards the end of her time in berlin we decided to maybe go out together. I was not happy because of all of the contoversy in the school over it. People made fun of it so I decided to say no on the terms that she was leaving too soon. It worked and nothing happened. She kept on being really nice and giving me stuff and even making me uncomfortable and guilty. She left at christmas time last year. We kept email contact. Now we are falling in love with each other more than ever before. She wants me to come visit in NZ. Should I?

You should visit her,if you don't wanna regret the remaining years of your life. There is no harm in giving a try, who knows where it might lead to. Follow your heart for a change...

Why not?
You seem to like her, and in NZ you wouldn't have to worry about your peers in school making fun.
Screw around with cheerleaders and dingbat models in Berlin to earn the cheers of your knuckleheaded buddies, but don't miss out on a person just because she wears glasses right now.

So she has thick glasses? So what! Never let the crowd dictate to you what or whom is acceptable. If you want to be a professional musician surely you have an artist's soul. It sounds like you two may share something very special. It seems to me the person having difficulty seeing clearly isn't the one with the thick glasses. Be her friend. Enjoy the relationship. Allow it to develop naturaly. Never again allow the crowd to dictate to you.
