If your love has an opposite it isn't love. In other words you might seem to define hate as the opposite of love. This is a fallacy as a person living in the delusion of the dualistic mindset. It is an unconscious way of defining the world as polar opposites and some people can rise above this. True love has no opposite and arises beyond all these mental delusions. When we are in touch with our true nature we don't see the world in ways such as either love or hate. Loving kindness becomes our natural state. So I think if we could all learn to awaken more we would see we are all "lovers" and hate is an unconscious state where one feels disconnected with God or their true inner being.

I love. Just because I am not acceptant or tolerant of deliberate sin, does not make me a hater. I stand on the word of God, and repent of my sins daily which is what we are to do. When we repent, we are to change the parts of our selves that commited those sins, and not go back to them again and again and again. That would make a person a reprobate, who does that..
Following God's word which has always been given in love from Him to us, also would not make me a hater. Just obedient.

These are very strong emotions....I am definitely a lover...to love someone is to see (what I call) the God-light in them, and I try to see that in everyone. To hate is to see the complete absence of love. I don't hate anyone...I may not agree with the decisions they make in life and how they choose to treat people, but I don't hate them, I pity them.

A lover.
I'd say a lover always believe's that love is there, even after bad times.
A hater is once bitten twice shy.

Most people, if they're at all honest, will admit that they can be both, sometimes simultaneously.
I can hate the sin and love the sinner at the same time.
I can love a person all the time and after something negative, hate enough to want to strangle them.
For most of us, love is stronger. We don't strangle the loved one.
