I have a 2 year old lab. he is the sweetest thing,usually hyper as can be.i have 2 other dogs too.they all get along great.my dog has been sick since thursday.took him to vet on friday and vet gave him some meds but it isnt helping,and vet is gone till monday.puppy wont eat or drink,we force meds and sips of water down his throat.he is 82 lbs,cant go this long w/out food & water.any help is sooooooo greatly appreciated for my loving member of our family.

I'm no vet by far but I had a golden retriever who was very sick and would not eat hardly anything for days. Besides my vet giving her meds he told me to boring rice and Hambuger meat together at the same time try that it is health for them and easy on there belly. keep giving your dog water maybe add some Karo Syrup in the water to keep your dog sugar level up..Take your dog to the vet but of course you feel it's way to bad or your dog get worse take to emergency vet asap! Also check your dogs temp!

I am not a vet, and your chances of finding a real vet on yahoo answers are probably one chance out of a hundred as they have much better things to do than be on here.
Just make sure that the dog gets plenty of fluids even if you have to keep forcing it to drink, they will survive without food for a few days, but not water. try and see if it will eat some yummy hamburger or even some gravy. sometimes they will eat this before their dog food when they are sick.
I would see if u could find an emergency vet and see what they say.

Take him to an Emergency Vet Hospital. Sounds too ill to wait.

Take him to another vet. you could also try putting the meds in milk. See if he'll drink that. Pray for help, the Lord is the best doctor out there.
