Bacillus cereus can be responsible for a lot of food poisoning as it causes toxic food poisoning, and if foods contaminated with it are not heated for long enough to disable the toxins they remain active even if the food has been heated for a short while to a high temperature
The most likely products in which it is found are, rice, cornflour vegetables and dairy produce - not things one commonly associates with food poisoning.
The spores if present in the raw state are highly resistant and can multiply if the cooked product is left hanging around at room temperature for some time.

Not sure, but there are quite a few bacteria and bugs that cause food poisoning. I was surprised that eating wilting brown lettuce is a common cause of catching e coli. Ever since I haven't even been tempted by the salad bags in the supermarket reduced trolley.

most cases of food poisoning isn't food poisoning at all its usually chemical poisoning from not washing your hands before you eat for example you clean your car with armor all then go through the drive thru and stuff your face with fries but your also ingesting the armor all that's on your steering wheel and later you feel sick and think you ate something bad
