Does anyone know how to delete Limewire/Napster 100% of my computer?

Hi,
My friend downloaded Limewire and Napster on to my computer and when I no longer wanted it I went to the Control Panel and deleted them. When I was looking through my 'Programme Files' I came back across them. I want to delete any the files ect. Does anyone know how to or can recommened any softwear?

After you've uninstalled the program, you may have to manually delete the Limewaire and Napster folders from your computer- since the uninstall only removes what the original program put in, not anything you may have downloaded while you used it....

It's a good idea to download Spybot Search & Destroy and Ad-Aware Personal edition from http://www.download.com, then run both of them- those programs look for leftover adware programs that might have been bundled with Limewire/Napster and delete them. They are both free and 100% functional without paying for an upgrade.

I don't know of a program that will do this effectively for you. But here's how to do it manually. Let's use Napster as the example.

First you will search for all files and folders.

Click on Start > Search > For Files and Folders
Click on All Files and Folders
Type in Napster in the All or Part of the File Name box
Click on Search
This will provide a listing of all files and folders that have the term Napster in the name. You can delete them one at a time or simply click on Edit in the tool bar at the top of the Search Results window, and then click on Select All, and then OK. That will get rid of the files and folders associated with Napster.

To clean the registry do the following. This can be a lengthy process so be patient.
Click on Start > Run > type in regedit > OK
You will see a My Computer main directory with 5 sub-directories.
Click once on the My Computer directory to hilite it.
Depress Ctrl and F (Ctrl F) at the same time. This opens a Find window.
Type in Napster and click on Find Next or simply hit enter. A search will begin and it will display one "find" at a time.
If what it finds is a Folder in the left panel, simply right click on it and select Delete, and then OK.
If what it finds is in the right panel, right click the item in the Name column, select delete, and then OK.
Depress Ctrl F again and repeat the find and delete process for each instance.

Repeat this process until no more instances of Napster are found.
In the left hand panel, return to the top using the scroll bar, click on My Computer to hilite it, Ctrl F and type in Napster, hit Enter and do one more sweep of the registry. Once it finds no instances of Napster, you've purged you PC of it.

Close the Registry window and reboot your PC.

Do the same as above for any software you want completely removed from your PC.

I know this is tedious, but it works. Hope this helps.

The best program for completely uninstalling files from your computer is Your Uninstaller, currently version 2006. Google the title and the first result will be the website of this software. You can download a free trial and that should help. You can delete the folders in your Program Files directory, but little pieces of the software will remain in the registry. This uninstaller takes care of everything.

un-tick the box
on them
then click on the service tab

your have to restart the pc
when the pc has load back up to the desktop
a system box will pop up
just tick the box dont show this again and click on ok

now cos you had Napster & Limewire there with be trojans on your pc and all kind of having spyware exe files & (rw) exe files for the trojans to come back everytime you start the pc so
to clean out your computer download this lot and run the scan 1 by 1 from all of them when 1 is done then scan with the other
you must do this or your pc is still in verry much danger from them trojans
