to the user who said keep it under 55 mph you are wrong. I know because i have had 2 years of automotive training. at 55mph yer in overdrive on your transmission thats why highway miles per gallon are better then city miles per gallon. 75 miles per hour is the threshold upon which if you go faster you loose mpg.

Is it a diesel or a gas? either way, keep your tire pressures to the maximum labeled on the tire (not the door sticker) accelerate moderately, limit your idling. I dont mean in the drive thru of mcdonalds, in the driveway... new air filters are always good, and a good front end alignment to make sure your tires are pointing straight and not slightly off to the sides. Be careful how much you spend trying to get better mileage, you go too crazy it'll take forever to make that money back. Also, check the upstream oxygen sensor. That is the sensor in the exhaust between the catalytic convertor and the engine, it is the single most important sensor to fuel economy (for a gas engine)

get skinnier tires and keep the pressure up. Don't run the A.C.

keep it tuned well, no jackrabbit starts, stay under 55 mph.

it takes a lot of time to recover the cost of a performance product, making it hard to justify something for economy only. but for diesel economy improvement, look for something that advances the timing

Not much, but a rigid tonneau cover is likely to improve its aerodynamics a bit.
