I use download.com quite alot on my PC but i went 2 it 1 day and tryed to downloads something and it opened a small window on the top left of my screen and did nothing! then download.com went to the thankyou for downlading................ but i never got the file !!!!!!?????? wts goin on please help!

Your problem is not totally clear by your discription, but it sounds like CNET was having a server problem. I you use download.com a lot (I do also) and you had great success with them in the past then it shouldn't be a problem on your end.
Did you choose Run or Save when you were prompted to do so?
I always choose Save. I created a Downloaded Files folder at the C drive level of my directory using Explore and that is where I direct all my downloaded files, programs, etc. That way I can do a quick virus scan on just that folder.
Here's how I would have handled it.
1. Close your browser. Re-open your browser and go to download .com. Try the download again.
2. If #1 wasn't successful, reboot your PC and try #1 again.
3. If still no success, wait a few hours and try again. It might be download.com (CNET) issues.

Yeah, I bet you have some type of pop-up blocking software running, even if you dont know you do. You have to turn it off to download stuff from download.com for some stupid reason.

Maybe they was having problems with their site. You should have waited till later that day or the following and tried to download it again. Or maybe you already have the program installed on your computer somewhere. Some programs on there are for "Mac" users and some are for "windows" users. So make sure you download the ones for your computer.

U have put the popup blocker settings on. Temporarily disable it. Download wat u want , and re enable the popup blocker.
Tools-pop up blocker- turn off pop up blocker, ( also check the popup blocker settings of yahoo or google toolbar if u have those, U can enable pop up blocker on, after completing download)
