“A theocracy is only safe for the winner’s religion. A democracy should be safe for everyone’s. That's why nobody’s faith — not mine, not yours — can be allowed to gain official standing in any democracy.”

Reply to Andy: I have to point out that secular democracy does not at all mean the same as atheist democracy... under secularism we are all free to worship as we wish and to follow our own particular world views so long as these don't conflict with the law or harm others.

Some of us think what you propose to do is evil and immoral..it is always wrong to defame and discriminate for irrational reasons... to legally enforce those irrational prejudices is immoral and wrong.

Christians, like all people suffering from delusion, have a need to spread their delusion so it is natural that they would want to corrupt formal power structure to their own ends.

For the same reason Islamists don't: an atheistic electorate cannot be trusted to vote for the right people.
There should be one last "free" election only: to vote in the theocrats. After that, their candidates will wil 99.99% of the votes. For sure.

It is the root of liberalism which is responsible for the introduction of anti Christian teaching such as homosexuality, abortion, family breakdown, etc. These are the things that ultimately destroy a nation, so we stand against it. AS long as a govt promotes evil we will be against it.

i think of you propose, why are radical* christians against secular song. Your buddy purely says that with the aid of fact she's been shielded and babied with the help of her mum and dad and overprotective people in her life. no longer all christians are like that and it rather is surely no longer a christian high quality to have.

I think you summed it up in that quote. They'll only be happy when everyone in the country is a Christian, which is obviously not going to happen anytime soon.
