I have high blood preasure, thyroid problems and I also have trouble sleeping I wake up between 12:30am and 2:am most of the time I cannot get back to sleep. I had open heart surgery in Feb of 2006 but no longer take heart meds.

It is called tinnitus
It can be caused by many things
Especially Drugs.
It is probably your high blood pressure medications, but can be from ear infections, meniere's disease, and overdoses of such things as tylenol.
