There’s an old saying; “Meat is murder.” Although I do eat meat, and I do believe it is not a sin. If we were to follow the cycle of nature, humans are carnivores just like other mammals. It would be impossible for mammals to survive if all relied on plants. Can you imagine a lion eating grass? If all humans were Vegan, then there will sure be a deficit in farm spaces causing us to cut down more forest for plantation. It’s a simple rational of cause and effect or supply and demand, but as it seems now, people are killing animals for the wrong reasons, and if by any chance you’re question is on a spiritual sense, then it is also not a sin assuming your faith is in line with Judaism or Christianity. Christ himself ate lamb during the Passover.

No, I do not think its a sin to eat meat. However, I do think its important to focus on a well balanced vegetarian diet that has low emphasis on meat intake.
Make sure you know that the animal meat that you are buying to consume has been raised in a cruelty-free environment, and fed with good grains. And before you eat, offer a prayer to God and the animal that died for your nutrition.

I don't think it is necessarily a sin to eat meat, unless you are an absolute glutton about it. I am not a total vegetarian, but most of my meals are meatless. I do this because the factory farms so much of our meat is raised on are inhumane for the animals and terrible for the environment . People worry about hunting being cruel, but they should visit a feedlot or slaughterhouse sometime. That is the epitome of cruel!

If that were true, he would have made a vegan diet available to humans before the last century, and certainly wouldn't have given the capacity to eat meat. As it happens, without recent things like supplements any vegan would die, and would have until recently. What part of logic makes you think he wouldn't want us to eat meat; given that he 'made' us able to eat it, 'made' it so that we cannot lead a natural vegan diet without dieing, and even 'said' that we should eat meat in the Bible?
It's much easier to rely on evolution as my argument, given that it makes more sense, but this has the same effect.

Um, just a P.S. :
If you give up meat for moral reasons, then you also have to give up all medications, remedies, pharmaceuticals, both prescription and over-the-counter, approved by the FDA. Yep. That's everything from Tylenol to Prozac. Robitussin to Amoxicillin. Neosporin to Rogaine.
All of these things are tested on animals. And not just guinea pigs. Or rats. Or rabbits. Also dogs (beagles), and monkeys.
Probably a thousand animals died so that you could purchase that 1 bottle of pills from your local pharmacy...so you could ingest that 1 aspirin for your headache. Do you know what happens to these animals after the pharmaceutical testing? No, they are not sent to the local shelter. They are 'destroyed'. Ever heard of 'exsanguination'?
That's a lot worse than eating 1 hamburger.

I don't eat meat because i honestly don't like meat, and i don't like seeing blood when i cook it. I use to read labels on canned meat , and its scary what they put in. I also know what is in H.B. and Hot Dogs and wouldn't touch both ever again. I don't know anything about it being a sin.

what the hell is a pagent diet?.... sounds stupid to me. Humans are designed to eat meat as part of a balanced diet. It is not a sin to eat meat. It is a sin to abuse and mistreat the animal you eventually eat.

I'm a vegetarian for moral reasons, one being is I know I could never kill an animal. I think those who kill animals should have the right to eat it themselves, but I can't stand when people do not take part in the animals death. Meat wrapped in plastic at the store shows no respect for the animal that died.

my friend was a veagan, he didn't eat meat because of health issues. but my personal opinion I wouldn't limit your self to NO meat just like lean meat includeing chicken and turkey or white meat, because you need that protine in your diet.
