Write the lines out and learn the ideas of the lines. You should learn them verbatim, but to start off, just get the idea of what it is all about. Also, develop some body and hand motions and emotions to emphasis what is being said. Even if you learn the lines and don't put yourself in the part, you won't come over as the person saying the lines. And the most important thing of all is say your lines toward the audience not toward the person you are saying them to. Plant your feet facing the audience and never turn more than 45 degrees away from them when saying your lines. If you really feel the part, you can go from smiles to tears in the same sentence. Also, once you know the lines, don't stop practicing and when you say the lines don't always say them fast when your time comes. You may need to let the audience see you weighing your answer before you answer or ask.

A good may to memorize anything is to start by saying a few lines at a time until you know them by heart and then add some more lines but do not forget to repeat what you have learned already! By doing this you will have your lines memorized in no time flat!
Best wishes!

Along with learning your lines, you need to learn the lines of all the other characters you interact with. The only way I ever learned mine was practice, practice, practice. I liked to practice out loud with another person so I could see and hear the lines.

Practice with other characters, even if you do not have an offical practice.

Also say you lines over and over again. Read your script a lot! Every night.

Good luck! I hope it goes well!

Read the lines aloud several times, and when you think you know them, try to say it with out the script, and if you mess up, then look and keep reading!

Have someone to study them with. I worked with my older son on one, and I will never forget

"Imagine... imagine... the wonder of it. My eyes cannot accustom themselves to so much magic"

Good Luck
