If it says that on the can, then it does have something derived from some sort of dead animal. Like gelatin comes from hooves, for example.
Actually some plants are fertilized with animal products, so no doubt have similarities to coca cola in that respect, but maybe that's carrying pickiness to an extreme.

I've just checked the label of the one I'm drinking. It's the full sugar version though.
It refers to carbonated water, sugar,colour - caramel E150d, phosphoric acid, flavourings (including caffeine).

dont care ..i only drink diet caffine free coke anyway..and as the coke team have answered answer me this..despite numerous requests to my local tesco/asda /sainsbury how come they will not stock my coke in 24 packs like red and silver? can i go direct to my local coke depot and collect it..oh and another thing have you noticed the price of the new fridge packs? same price as the old 12 packs with 2 cans less.....

oh yes. definitely unsuitable for vegetarians. i heard all soft drinks are unsuitable too. actually i heard there is no such thing as truly suitable for vegetarians. do you think this could be true? seriously....
