100% Whole wheat bread
Pasta
Rice
veggies
fruit
Boca Products
Morningstar farms product
Beans
Nuts
These are just some of the basics. Protein is in everything so it would be very difficult not to get enough. There are thousands of items you probably have eaten that were vegetarian friendly and you did not even realize it. With packaged foods, you really need to read labels..many of them sneak some sort of animal fat or something derived from a dead animal into the product. One example is Yogurt...many brands have gelatin which is not a vegetarian product.
Here's a sample menu:
Breakfast: Whole wheat toast with earth balance buttery spread and 100% fruit spread.
Snack: Cut up apple and peanut butter for dipping
Lunch: Grilled cheese and tomato (rennet free cheese) OR a salad (green or pasta)
Dinner: whole wheat pasta w/ marinara sauce OR veggie stir fry over brown rice OR Boca burger
There are so many things to eat! Boca and Morningstar make beef substitute crumbles that you use in anything you would use ground meat. I make Tacos, "meat" sauces, cottage pie, Chili, etc.

1. Grilled PB & J (with banan's of course)!!!
1. "Kashi Blue- Berry Waffles" topped with fresh blue berries and almonds. This has 13 g of protein ... 8 g of Fiber ... and low fat. Tastes great and doesn't put on the weight. Oh, and the almonds have protein too.
2. Pasta - Select special pasta with high protein. Top with marinera sauce, alfredo, or olive oil & cappers.
3. Tofu
Vitamins ... IRON (or tons of spinish) ... I've been low on Iron and freaked out and went to 'Lone Star' looking for a T-Bone ... I usually don't freak out that way, but when you get low on Iron and are a woman ... well, it's not lovely (giggle).

Everything but animals. For strict vegetarians (a.k.a. vegans) exclude eggs, dairy products and any other product of animal origin. If you're asking about the vegetarian alternatives to animal flesh, then there's soy, tofu, seitan and tempeh (never tried the latter), as well as all kinds of fake "meats", veggie burgers, veggie sausages, etc.
"A vegetarian is someone living on a diet of grains, pulses, nuts, seeds, vegetables and fruits with or without the use of dairy products and eggs (preferably free-range).
A vegetarian does not eat any meat, poultry, game, fish, shellfish or crustacea, or slaughter by-products such as gelatine or animal fats.
[...]
Vegetarian food groups are:
* Cereals/grains - wheat (bread & pasta), oats, maize, barley, rye, rice, etc. Potatoes are a useful cereal alternative.
* Pulses - kidney beans, baked beans, chick peas, lentils, etc.
* Nuts & Seeds - almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, etc.
* Fruit & vegetables.
* Dairy products or Soya products - tofu, tempeh, soya protein etc.
* Vegetable oils and fats - margarine or butter."

i'm assuming that considering which you're vegetarian and not vegan which you will consume dairy? Mozzarella cheese sticks are a great thank you to get protein. additionally beans and rice jointly make an entire protein. I frequently steam rice after which stir in a can of black kidney beans with somewhat of the syrup/sauce this is in them. i will upload in spite of i think of in good shape on the time, frequently somewhat taco seasoning and brown sugar. To me all of it sounds gross or maybe seems gross in spite of the fact that it rather is scrumptious.

my favorite food is soy or potato.
then you also have Chinese or Japanese food, they eat a lot f vegetables and rice, which is very healthy.
I'm also a vegetarian, for 4 years now, and if you eat a lot of soy and vegetables, you'll be quite fine

this sounds dumb, but nearly everything. if you're strict, you'll keep an eye out for eggs, chicken stock, etc.
i'd recommend vegweb.com for some help.
