If you are in the UK, Lloyds chemist will do a free test for diabetes. Just walk in.All the people have answered the question on symptons, but they failed to mention being irritable. From your description, you have diabetes, go and get it sorted. It is a serious illness that can kill, make you blind, lose limbs.Once you start on insulin you'll feel 10 years younger.

My son was recently diagnosed with diabetes. He had all the symptoms already mentioned and also his eyes started to bother him.....everything went fuzzy. Also had some dizziness. It came on very fast, so fast that he had kidney damage and is on meds for that too now. He is 32 and thin. 120 lbs. so don't think a thin person can't develop diabetes. He had no insurance and no money so I had to step in a get him to a Dr.----If, like him, you are concerned about money and have a friend you know
with a blood tester ask them to test you early in the morning before eating. That will absolutely give you an answer and then go to a Dr. ASAP. The longer you wait the worse the condition will get.

Some of the common 'early warning' signs of diabetes are:

The first symptom of diabetes is often excessive thirst (unrelated to exercise, hot weather, or short-term illness)
Excessive hunger (you know you've eaten "enough" but are still hungry all the time)
Frequent urination (often noticed because you must wake up repeatedly during the night)
Tiredness and fatigue (possibly severe enough to make you fall asleep unexpectedly after meals), one of the most common symptoms of diabetes.
Rapid and/or sudden weight loss (any dramatic change in weight is a sign to visit a doctor)

mine was numbness on the bottom of your feet.
diabetes burns your nerve endings, it feels sore like walking around in some worn out shoes. If you were to stand on a piece of glass by accident you wouldnt feel it and could get an infection.
It does the same with the nerve endings in your retina behind your eye which if not treated would make you go blind.
Pop to your doctors and have a blood test. You have to make some life changing decisions, eat healthily and cut down on alcohol and chocolates. Not as bad as it sounds, you soon get used to it

You will feel tired, have a raging thirst but more than that you will have to pee an awful lot and will feel that you cannot hold it in.
If you imagine your body is trying to wash the sugar out of your blood all the time.
You really need to get yourself to the doctors and get it checked out immediately,it can be dangerous to say the least to go on without medication.
Good luck.

unquenchable thirst and lack of energy are facts in diabetet you could go to your local Boots and get a sugar reading (just a small prick on your finger) but your best bet is to go to your Doctor as there may be other reasons for the syptoms best to get it sorted if you do have diabetes it may be that you just need to change your diet so go to the doc good luck

Oh my god I am exactly the same but I've been like this since about June. I never thought about it being connected to diabetes, I suspected I had it mildly but wasn't sure. Sorry this isn't an answer I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for bringing this to my attention.
