unless there is an alternative to the whole insulin - insulin receptor thing that we don't know about
Read the wiki page and learn about diabetes before someone gets really very sick
So tell me 99CLOUD99 ... how does fibre (or your other fruit thing) increase the cellular uptake of glucose from the blood stream and reduce the osmotic load and enable cellular metabolism of glucose?
You'd better read the wiki page too.

The most useful system has nothing to do with medicine. It has to do with taking care of yourself...
For type I and type II diabetics (and those who are overweight and could potentially become diabetic). Copy and bookmark the webpages I‘ve listed below… they are invaluable for those with diabetes and/or weight problems...
I've found a wonderful book that will help you control your diabetes and minimize or even eliminate the complications. Some folks who became diabetic due to poor diet and obesity are effectively cured by following the advice in this book. I'm a type II (inherited), but it helps all types, especially those who became diabetic due to poor eating habits. It's by an author who has really done his homework, Patrick Quillin, Phd. It's called, "The Diabetes Improvement Program". I have tried his suggestions and found them to be very helpful. I have no complications whatsoever and my blood sugar levels are quite stable. Yes, I still have to take Metformin (Glucophage) daily, but it's the minimum dosage (500mg) and I only have to take it twice a day. I have been off Metformin for as much as a week, but this was with vigorous exercise. Many, what I call, non-hereditary type IIs (those that don't have a close relative who had it) have gotten off medication completely, just with diet, exercise, and supplements. So, in some instances, it most certainly can be 'effectively' cured. Read more about it here:

The book explains what's going on in our system and what to do about it. It's really easy and inexpensive. It's basically diet, supplements, and exercise. For example, did you know that cinnamon helps blood sugar absorption? It also controls cholesterol and triglycerides. This is according to the USDA:

For men: Are you suffering from erectile dysfunction? I was. Yes, WAS. Now that everything's under control, I'm able to have nearly normal sex again. I've also put together a little webpage highlighting some of the things I've learned here:

A Friend of mine tried alternative systems medicine but to no relief but i have personally seen people recover from Food Supplements. An elderly gentleman (my friend's father ) had it reduced to 140 from 190
.Another person by name Richards from170 to110 in 25 days.
believing it or not is left to you After all it is your health. If i am wrong you will just lose a few dollars ( even that is going to be only vitamins and other food supplements) If i am right and if you do not take food supplements you will lose your whole life.
I am not going to sell anything to you.I can just tell you where to get them . After all we are here to get information from one another is it not?

My experience with diabetes has been that I had low blood sugar prior, diabetes now - and recently found it was complicated by a systemic yeast syndrome - which makes (my) diabetes worse.
In treating the yeast syndrome (candida), I have been able to lower my sugars to the point that I felt comfortable removing myself from medication. I just saw my doctor this week, and he did not protest - given my HA1c of 6.3.

Be strict about diet and exercise. Stop smoking and drinking. Check Lipid profile and HbA1c tests every 3 or 4 months. Control your Hypertension.
Eat a low-cholesterol, low-fat diet. This kind of diet includes cottage cheese, fat-free milk, fish (not canned in oil), vegetables, poultry, egg whites, and polyunsaturated oils and margarines (corn, safflower, canola, and soybean oils). Avoid foods with excess fat in them such as meat (especially liver and fatty meat), egg yolks, whole milk, cream, butter, shortening, lard, pastries, cakes, cookies, gravy, peanut butter, chocolate, olives, potato chips, coconut, cheese (other than cottage cheese), coconut oil, palm oil, and fried foods.
