ok heres the details, my husband is 54 yrs old, he went into mutiple organ failure about 4 months ago, due to being prescribed a statin for colesterol, and yes it was proven that the statin caused the organ failure. he was in a coma for 3 days due to no oxygen to the brain, from the organ failure, when he woke up his hand was numb and painful and has been ever since, when he had the organ failure he also had a mini stroke on one side of his brain, he was tested and the docs said the stroke did not cause the numbness, they are still checking things with him, but it is taking forever, and i feel so helpless, because his hand is constantly painful to him.

yes the organ failure was reversed, but he has been left with Rhabdomyolsis, his organs went back to almost normal, he was within an hour of death, according to the doctors.

Super B complex three times a day help. There are also several essential oils that help. If you check out the www.youngliving.com web site I think you can find a message therapist in your area that uses their oils. They are a miracle, try it. I recommend frankincense for nerve damage, its an amazing oil.

I have nerve damage in my right arm after having a viral infection. It has never been the same. Lost about 60% use and only made about 45% recovery. Meet with a neurosurgeon and see what the recommendation is. There are some severe cases where you can have a nerve removed from other parts of your body and put in place of the damaged nerve. Physical therapy might help as well. You doctor should be referring you out for treatment, if not, look for another doctor!

That's not very pleasant!

Okay, some years ago I was in an incident where I got a few facial nerves damaged(details are not germaine). It left a numb spot about the size of a quarter. Eventually, the nerves did recover and I could feel in that area again.

There are vitamins and minerals that can help nerves- but I daresay you know this already. Also, there is research being done that shows promise of being able to reverse nerve damage.

I hope your husband feels better fast!

Hi I am arun Physiotherapist. I would like to know the clinical details for ur husband.. In multiple organ failure nerve damage is rare. Pain and numbness may be because vertebral problem. Unless we examine the condition we will not be able to find a permenant solution. In order to reduce the pain and numbess, u can temporarily use TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulator). We will be helpful in reducing the intensity of pain. But unless we find out the exact pathology we wil be unable to find a permenant cure. GIve other detials like HT, diabetes, age, etc etc...

Regards

Being multiple organ failure preceded this and had ran a short-circuit nerve path downstream, have they reversed the primary statin cause and how are the organs now?

Despite the cause contributors there was an initial "trigger" in which recovery time is entirely dependent upon.

I offer a documentary "for free" on my yahoo group page that details this trigger and share information on how to reverse the short circuit and some unique findings about this trigger.

One supplement I know is critical in providing nutrients needed for healing nerve damage is lots of B-Complex. Stress, medications, sugars and alcohol all rob the body of B vitamins.

As I'm sure your aware, all supplements do not give you optimal results which especially is critical in this case. Hope this is a bit useful and for the brand and website or questions, fell free to contact me.

I was in an accident and had a severed/damaged facial nerve. I went to physical therapy. E-mail me and we can chat. X-rays wont say anything.

I have it when I drilled through my hand. My pain faded with time but the numbness is still there. You get used to it after awhile but it still bothers me by being numb.
