Help. I was with the same parner for 7 years and was diagnosed with Trich during a routine pap.
My partner tested negative and took the treatment anyways. My Dr. said i had it for more than a few months. I have never cheated on him but now I look really quilty.
Is is possible I could have contracted it from river water or a swimming pool?

I think your partner is not telling you the truth. Were you there when he recieved his test results?

Honey calm down, Im not saying that your man did no wrong cux i dont know you or him. But it seems now a days docs are not giving enough info to girls. Trich can be caused by yeast infections, bacterial vaginitis and so on as well as being an STD. If memory serves me you could have had a mild yeast infection and gave it to him and in return he gave it back and so on and so forth. Now it is finally causing you some trouble. Just relax. Totally treatable. but sweetie if you are having doubts about him. Pay attention to his habits

Don't feel bad, I was diagnosed with trichamonis as well. My bf at the time went to the doctor and his test came back negative, but he did the treatment as well. I kind of have a double whammy on my side. Besides having trichamonis, I was diagonsed with Herpes 4 years ago.

(Hopefully, I spell this right) Trichomonaisis can be spread though sexual contact without the original partner showing positive or having symptoms.
