IT IS MY GRAND GIRL HER BP IS 128/76 FOR A MONTH NOW WHAT IS THE TREATMENT AND THE NORMAL RANGE. ME AND MY DAUGHTER DONT HAVE THE BEST OF RELATIONSHIPS SO WHEN I ASK A QUESTION SHE GETS SNOTTY. BUT THIS CHILD IS MY LIFE. TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO TO HELP HER PHYSICALLY. DIET? EXCERCISE? WHATEVER I CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could be wrong, but I was thinking blood pressure is usually lower in kids than adults, and that BP would be considered prehypertensive in an adult. Also, BP can vary throughout the day, and in illness, etc. Check with the pediatrician to be sure.

I would take her to the doctor's just to make sure there is no health problems that's causing the high blood pressure, once that has been cleared, it will give you peace of mind, then you can cut back on salty foods, and fattening foods, give her lots of fruit, and vegetables, and one thing people seem to overlook is water, it helps lower pressure, also if she eats lots of sweets with E numbers in, just cut back on those also. this is perfectly normal for a child of her age,kids dont suffer with high blood pressure any way,unless they have heart or kidney disease,keep her diet fat and salt low.overhere in the uk we never take childrens bp there is just no need
