Yes, there are several. All bacterial STDs are curable.

Chancroid, chlamydia, donovanosis, gonorrhea, syphilis, and trichomoniasis can all be cured with antibiotics. Pubic lice (crabs) can also be cured by using over-the-counter lotions that contain the chemical permethrin such as Rid and Nix.

BV (Bacterial vaginosis) is not considered an STD. BV results from overgrowth of one of several organisms that are normally present in the vagina, upsetting the natural balance of vaginal bacteria. It can spread during sexual intercourse, but it also occurs in people who aren't sexually active.

Herpes is NOT curable no matter how early you detect it. Herpes is caused by a virus. Viruses are not curable, they are only treatable. Once a person contracts herpes they will have it their entire life, there is NO cure.

HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) is also a virus that is NOT curable. Most people are able to get rid of the virus on their own, but for some people it will stay with them their entire life. There are over 100 different kinds of HPV and only a handful can cause cancer or warts. People who contract a kind of HPV that can cause warts or cancer ususally don't get rid of it. There is medication to treat the warts, but there is NO cure for HPV.

Viral STDs have NO cure. The symptoms can be treated with medication, but there is no cure. There is NO cures for hepatitis, herpes, HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), and HPV (Human papillomavirus).

As others have said, bacterial STD's can be cured but I also have something else to add:

There are treatments that not many people know about that can successfully get rid of viral STD's like genital warts and herpes.

There is actually a doctor in Arkansas who has successfully treated many hundreds of herpes patients and a few genital warts patients. One site that has taken some of his findings and told all about them in a report (put out for genital warts, but part is applicable to herpes too) can be found at the Genital Warts Report.

Well they recently called some Sexually Transmitted Infections because they can be cured by antibiotics. AIDS has treatment but it is viral and CANNOT be cured, yet. Genital Herpes cannot be cured either. Chlamydia is the most common and can be cured with antibiotics. Not too sure of the rest. Wrap it up!!

Yes of course, the ones which are not produced by virus in general..I will list them but I am not sure about the spelling, English is not my first language, but the info is 100% sure because I am a doctor.
Syfilis, gonorhea, trichomonia vaginalis, Gardnerella vaginalis, ( all of these can be cured by antibiotics)
And I would like to add: if you are homosexual it doesnt mean it will increase your risk ( like a person said here) is your sexual behavior ( number of partners) either if you are hetero or homo.

3. Bacterial Vaginosis - DOC is Metronidazole

4. Chlamydial Infections - DOC is Erythromycin, Doxycycline, Azithromycin, Amoxicillin

5. Syphilis - DOC is Benzathin Penicillin

6. Genital Herpes - DOC is Acyclovir and analgesics for pain only

7. Gonorrhea - DOC is Amoxycillin, Ceftriaxone, Quinolones

8. Human Papillomavirus Infection - DOC is Podophyllin for non-pregnant, Trichloroacetic acid, Laser cautery therapy

9. Group B streptococcal infection - DOC is Ampicillin, Penicillin G and Aminoglycosides

AIDS is cannot be cured. Zidovudine and other related drugs can only cure the manifesting symptoms but it is again a lifetime disease. HIV is just one stage of AIDS.

Then viruses such as HPV and herpes can be treated although not cured completely.

The best would be not getting them in the first place :P

yes...any std that is caused by a bacteria can be cures....those that come from viruses can not.
bacterial infections cured by antibiotics include:
chlamydia
ghonorreha
syphillis
trickomonisis
PID (pelvic inflamitory disease) you can cure it but cant reverse the damage (PID occurs when a infection in a womans reproductive track goes untreated for an extended period of time)
pubic lice
and urethritis (simple urinary tract infection) caused by multiple factors but mainly oral sex due to the high number of germs in a humans mouth.

is NOT correct. First off, HPV is actually the infection that causes genital warts, and that and HSV (herpes) can NOT be cured, no matter HOW early you catch it. If you have it, you have it. It can be managed however... just not cured. Yet.

Can be cured: chlamydia, trich, syphilis, gonorrhea- if not treated they can leave you infertile or kill you, but it's easy to treat them with broad-spectrum antibiotics (the same ones used for normal colds)
