Almost all important doctrine is completely agreed upon between Catholic Christians and other Christians.

Here is the joint declaration of justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006):

By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping us and calling us to good works.

There are some minor doctrine issues and some major cultural traditional differences which, I believe, do not matter that much.

A Catholic worships and follows Christ in the tradition of Catholicism which, among other things, recognizes that Christ made Peter the leader of His new Church and Pope Benedict XVI is Peter's direct successor.

With love in Christ.

I know that nearly half of Jewish converts in our synagogue are Catholic. They are all surprised that not only are they allowed to question, they are encouraged to do so!

I know that Roman Catholics slaughtered thousands of Jews and other "heretics" for not converting to Christianity.

I know that Roman Catholic Crusaders left for Arab lands to slaughter the rapidly-spreading new religion called Islam while practicing by killing Jews along the way.

I know that Roman Catholics burned Jews in their synagogues along with every copy of a Talmud they could find.

I know that Roman Catholics did not want their parishioners to read the Bible and did everything possible to prevent it from being printed in any language other than Greek/Latin. Parishioners were to "believe" and do as they were told.

I know that Jesus was not thought to be divine until the 4th century when the Nicene creed was developed.

Spelled with a small c, catholic is used to express the idea that Christian beliefs have a universal character. Over time, it came to refer to the "great Church," as opposed to the various heretical and schismatic movements which kept developing.

We (Catholics) are the only Church that was founded by Jesus Christ, himself. We also practice the only faith that holds the fullness of truth.
