cows are herbivores and as such they eat mostly grasses and small bushes. this is how they evolved. and this article refers not just to indian cows but the cowsof the world

hmm,I am just guessing that you haven't pharsed your question the right way,its because to HIndus (Indians),the Cow is one of their Gods so they wont eat that because of their religion,however you will find that Indians wil cow depending on what religion they are,itf they are Sikhs or Muslims they will,HIndus won't.
