i have to get a meter in your opinion which is the best one to get

well, i use the paradigm link that comes with my pump. But before that one, my favorite was the accuchek compact, because I didn't have to handle teststrips, or code the meter. Just slip in a drum, and you're set for 17 tests. There is a newer version that I think might have more stuff like tracking meals and meds, etc., but I'm not sure. All the meters have the same memory basically. If money is a big issue, the store brands are usually pretty good, and the strips are about 10-20$ cheaper than the name brand.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. Freestyle Flash aka Freestyle Mini. The backlights and alarms are awesome, and it is super small, fast, and uses a small amount of blood.

I use the freestyle flash. Very small, fast readings, and takes a pretty small blood sample.
