I don't think there's any substitute for oysters per se. But there's vegetarian oyster sauce, made from mushrooms and soy sauce. Really yummy. =]

No wait that's what I feed oysters to. You could go get Rocky Mountain Oysters, but I'm not sure that'd be vegan. I've heard you can use onions in place of oysters.

I'm guessing here, but if I were making an oyster dish without oysters or other seafood, Id try to modify it with mushrooms
