Unfortuntly not all MI's can be detected with an EKG. Talk to your Doctor about a Cardiac Stress Test, and a Cardiac Catherization. Also one thing to remember is that there are other things that can make you experience chest pains, such as acid reflux (GERD), Anxiety, Gall Stones, and even a form of Arthritis that cause inflammation of the cartilage connecting the ribs to the sternum. So talk to your Doc about the stress test and cardiac cath, and good luck. :D

When it comes to your heart you don't want to mess around. You have the right to be worried but if the Dr said your EKG came back find then chances are it anxiety or even something Else maybe you should get a second opinion and also find a primary Dr so they can give you a compete exam. Good luck

Well I sure feel better knowing you saw a doctor! I had symptoms much like that and found it was stress. Also, acid reflux can cause the chest pains you described even if you're not aware that you have reflux. My vote would be for anxiety, however, it might not hurt to try an over the counter heartburn medication to see if it eases symptoms.

My Uncle's EKG's were normal in the doctor's office too then on his way out the door he dropped with a heart attack, which damaged the left side of his heart.
