My friend is a Type 2 diabetic. He is not on any meds. He eats approximately a biscuit, 2 slices @ lunch, and toast with supper. I know this is bad for him. I want to wean him off the bread and I want to try a healthier type for him.

WHOLE WHEAT BREADS. Definitely NOT any type of white bread, rolls or buns! You can find Lite whole wheat and two slices is a serving. He needs to stay away from "the whites" potatoes, rice, corn etc. If he's not on meds and continues to eat unhealthy then he will be on them soon enough. Stay away from enriched flour (bleached flour too) --the process takes out all of the "good stuff." It's a HARD habit to break by not eating bread. He needs to STICK WITH IT for two weeks and his body will "detox" from it and it will be MUCH EASIER TO SAY NO TO BREAD!!!!!! Good luck!

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

any fruit is ok. a diabetic should eat foods from all food groups in the proper portions. when i got on my diabetic diet, i found my whole family could eat the same way i was eating cause all you have to do is eat like a normal person SHOULD eat. As far as fruits, you need the vitamins that all fruits supply to your body. you can eat a fruit for breakfast, for mid-morning snack, a fruit with lunch and some type of fruit for supper. Bananas are the greatest fruit. It has potassium, and it is good tasting and gives you a little sweet tasting food.

A low carb bread. Go to your grocery store and look at the backs of the bread and you will see that some breads are very high in carbs and others are very low. Get the lowest carbs. It will already be low in sugar as carbs are sugers included.
They have new low carb white breads available if he just strictly a white bread eater but the rule used to be just Whole wheat(brown bread) and Grain bread but thats not the case anylonger. ====Just go to the store and look for lowest carbs and the back of the loafs.

Wheat bread and anything the does have low carb.If your friend eat a biscuit for breakfast,2 slices at lunch and a toast for dinner it's not that bad. That's the regular amount he can eat.Of course I would avoid the biscuit and prefer toast for breakfast. He should avoid to eat pasta at same time,he need to choice only one type of carb.If he eat two slices of bread for lunch he should avoid pasta and viceversa.Same thing for dinner.
