Pain in the head and hands are not part of a normal postoperative picture following bypass surgery. I would say the best thing at this point would be to get a second opinion, since something unusual is going on.

You should trust the doctor who performed the surgery. Recovery from bypass surgery can be prolonged and complicated. The number of arteries involved the patient's age and general condition need to be considered.

Take him and get a second opinion. I don't believe the pain in his head and hands is normal. I would take him immediately to a different hospital for chest x-rays to see if everything is ok and then get a referral from the emergency room doctor.

Hi Sweetie, I don't know very much about this type of thing, But I just wanted to say that I can hear from the way you sound that you love your Papa very much..I hope he gets better soon, I'm sure you are letting him know how much you love him and that will make his heart feel good even on his worst days. Good luck to you and your family.

HI there,

Is pretty common to have such pain. Do not expect your dad will recover so soon, at least 9 months then he will feel better.
