there is a possibility of one getting HIV through oral sex. The risk is high when the involved parties have sores on genitals and in the mouth as well. Since the sexual act involves movements that automatically cause trauma on the genetals, the break that occur acts as a window through which the virus can enter.
The secretions that are realised, also may carry the virus. This means more exposure of the virus to the broken skin. Mind you, broken skin does not mean that you have to see the break, it could be microscopic where the virus is small enough to enter. You should understand that the virus is very small.
Have safe sex, the better way to avoid this is through abstainance

Yes but only if they're is blood transmission or you have an open cut in your mouth or ulcers, sores and gum disease. The risk of catching HIV from oral sex is very low, and they're has only been about 1 or 2 cases of people actually getting it this way. I'm a microbiologist and part of my job involves diagnosis of sexually transmitted diseases including HIV. Hope this helps.
Other sexually transmitted diseases like gonorrhoea and syphilis can be transmitted via oral sex.

the HIV viruses live and multiply in one's red blood cell, so if you have oral sex with a HIV +ve patient, you sure have the chances of getting the virus, though the chances is quite low, get the picture?

It is rare, but possible, if there is any blood exchange, (eg biting, or bleeding gums) or if one of you has an ulcer or cut in your mouth/genital skin. I would recommend you go to your local STD clinic which will provide a fully confidential service and ask for some advice. If you are at risk you'll need to have a HIV test three months after exposure (due to the virus window period).

Yes it is possible if you have oral sex and you have lesions or cuts on the teeth or the genitalia or there is sufficient transmission of bodily fluids.
To be on the safe side you should use a dental dam or a condom.

The info i found goes like this.
There is less risk in catching a STD (like hiv) with oral sex than with penis/vagina or penis/anus contact.
I didnt found the percentage or statistics. They say that it it not studied enough to have numbers yet...
BUT THE SAY LESS RISK, there is still some risk.
