Geez you don't have to be rude about it.

For one, it's a lot easier to talk to people online about it rather then going to the doctor. You are NEVER going to see these people online and they have absolutely no clue who you are. This is a lot less embarrassing then going to the doctor and having to face someone and tell them about an infection or sore you have "down there". It's nothing the doctors haven't see, but it's embarrassing for the patient.

Also, A LOT of people have STDs. It's easy to go online and talk to someone who has the same one or has been through it. I personally have genital herpes and HPV. You wouldn't believe all the emails I get from people asking about both of those viruses and what I have personally gone through with them. Sure the doctors can tell you the physical symptoms and what not, but they can't tell you the emotional toll it takes on someone, only someone who has been through it can tell another person that.

And one last reason...doctors cost money. Asking someone online something doesn't.

I do agree with you though in one part. If a person does think something is wrong then they really should see a doctor. They are the ones that are going to help you out with medication and/or treatment, not someone online.

A lot of visitors are as young as 11 or 12 years old and they have a lot of misconceptions about STDS. Alot of Yahoo visitors are from different countries as well and their English and spelling may not be perfect but they are brave enough to try and ask questions and pose answers. A lot of individuals are not serious when asking questions and others really do not know the answer, would not ask the question when visiting the doctor, and/or cannot afford to go to the doctor. There are a lot of myths still going around about pregnancy such as: you can't get pregnant the first time and you can't get pregnant if you have sex standing up. I've heard both repeated by young people and hope that a forum like this can straighten out some young people out there before they become parents!
Lighten up. Ignore the questions if you don't like them. Enjoy the areas that you find most interesting. No one knows everything about everything.

I agree with all of the previous responses. That brings me to this: Who is really the idiot here? If you don't want to read or respond to questions about STDs, why would you be hanging out in the STD category? I know it's not the only one out there. Maybe you should ask your kids what they would do if the didn't want to be bothered with such questions.

Looking forward to your response. (and please try spell check) =)

You are right, but I think you must go and see a Dr! Drs never say what will happen they only say what must it be like. Think twice. I advise you to look more positive to life. Indeed, many people have a ot to learn from you; I believe this

People would rather have a real opinion from someone with personal experience rather than the textbook answer from a Doctor.
It sounds like your kids will be real smart with a white trash taking mother. Do you live in a trailor? Did you have your first kid at 14?
Does your kids as well as yourself live with your parents?
I think you need to get a life and get off the couch wise ***.

Does the word 'Anonymity' ring a bell? It should answer both your question and your 'outburst' :)
