OK dont listen to any of these fools!!!!
OK... Ventricular tachycardia... is way out of what you have dont worry...
If you have a fever your pulse rate increases which is normal....
You do not need an ER.... make an appoinment to see your doctor. If you are dizzy hydrate...
You most likely are freaked and have the flu.

Once again you jump on a question, person who has worked six years on an ambulance, and slam others in the process.
As someone who has PERSONALLY experienced monomorphic VT and polymorphic VT of the form of Torsades de Pointes, I can tell you what it feels like. (The two do feel very different and the time before black-out in the latter is rather short.) Due to the incredibly fast heart rate, I did not notice all of the beats even though I thought I did. Also, I felt... get ready for it... dizzy and warm. Dizziness with a fast heart rate that lasts for the amount of time this person has experienced it should absolutely be checked out immediately. Does it mean it's V-tach? Of course not, but guess what, it could be. People can go in and out of v-tach for hours. And that's the point. If the person immediately goes to the doctor's office and gets an EKG, the answer will be immediately known. It's absolutely stupid to wait until the arrhythmia is gone to seek help because at that point the EKG won't show a darn thing.
There's a very good chance that this is simply sinus tachycardia caused by anxiety or a stimulant. However, knowing nothing about this young woman's medical history, it would be improper for me to tell her not to go to the doctor IMMEDIATELY. Far better to get the EKG done while the arrythymia is there and have it turn out to to be sinus tachy than for her not to get one and have it be an episode of VT where she is not feeling all the beats and the next time she gets an episode and it degenerates into VF.
This is the part of the reason why I don't think they should have a heart section on Yahoo! answers. Never take anything to do with the heart lightly until testing rules out the serious stuff. The heart and the lungs. Two things you don't want to take a chance on.

The dizziness is the worrisome part. 128 is a little low for ventricular tachycardia. However, it's possible that you're not feeling all of the beats.
My suggestion: Get this checked out immediately. I mean either go down to the ER or a doc right now. Why? Because they need to do what's called an EKG while you're having the fast heart rate so they can see if it's a normal heart rhythm that's just a little fast or a more serious, dangerous rhythm. If you've never had an EKG before, don't worry. It's completely painless and non-invasive.

Have you drank any coffee or something with lots of caffiene in it today? That could cause it. Also strenous exercise.
If it continues for longer than a few hours, then you should go to a doctor/clinic/emergency room and have it checked out.
My girlfreind gets similar attacks once every few months. She heads to the ER right away, although she is more anxious than most people. Also she is in her late 30's, so it is more of a concern.
Is your pulse regular or skipping beats? If it is skipping beats or seems off, you could be having something called atrial fibrillation.
That usually happens in people older that you, but may need medical attention to get it to stop if that what it is. (My GF has this too)
I agree with Thomas U. An EKG would be a good idea. Just as a precaution and to put any worries to rest.

The drug you are on is called a beta blocker which is why you are feeling so worn out. As for the b/p, rythm problem, I would like to know if you by chance have been on any ADHD meds during your life. MVP is no big deal, I have it myself along with millions of people have it and don't even know it. The big deal comes when you have it and an arrythmia problem, this increases your risk to form clots and throw them off causing possible stroke, heart attack, P.E. or just and tissue death related to blood thrombosis. You must have V-tac with intermit V- fib, thats just an educated guess with the information you have provided. The only other option would be to treat you with a calcium chanel blocker, but would really have to know what your EKG looks like to try to guess why these are not being used on your. Beta blockers are great because the help keep b/p down and heart rate. Sorry to tell you, you probably will have to take heart medication for the rest of your life you don't just get fixed by a month or two of treatment. YOU SHOULD DISCUSE THESE ISSUES WITH YOUR DOCTOR, SO THAT HE CAN PROPERLY GUIDE YOUR PLAN OF CARE, WHETHER THAT BE CHANGE OF MEDICATIONS OR WHAT. On the note sure being on a med for such a long time is not good. WHAT IS BAD IS TO SELF CHANGE CARDIAC MEDICATIONS, IF YOU GO OFF THE BETA BLOCKER WITHOUT WEIN WITH HELP YOU COULD GO INTO VFIB AND DIE. SO IF YOU FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE WITH YOU BEING THE BRAINS OF YOUR CARDIAC CARE OVER THAT OF A DOCTOR THAT WENT TO COLLEGE AND MED SCHOOL, PASSED BOARDS AND HAS YEARS OF PRACTICE. THEN BY ALL MEANS GO A HEAD AFTER ALL IT "WAS" YOUR LIFE. THE SAME GOES TO CHOOSING ADVICE FROM YAHOO TEENAGERS INSTEAD OF YOUR DOCTOR.

Much the same thing happened to me. I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. I got light headed and began to sweat and felt flushed. Check it out. An EKG can let you know.

one possibility is your menstrual period. "Side effects" can hit a whole lot of stuff. Not just water retention, cramps. You could get the munchies, dry mouth, back ache, leg aches. Or, you could have been dreaming about "Tommy" at school. But, not a bad idea to have it checked out.
