I had skin warts when I was about 20, I had them frozen off my legs.

Skin warts are caused by one of the HPV viruses.

I have only had sexual contact with my wife, and vice versa.

My wife has had a pap smear done every year for the past 5 years, they have all came back normal.

We have unprotected sex, is it safe to assume she has HPV from me?

She has never had a skin wart, but I read there may not be any symptoms.

I feel horrible if I gave her HPV, she could get cervical cancer now, right?

Does the HPV that causes skin warts cause cervical cancer?

nope viruses that cause skin warts go after the skin, viruses cause genital warts grow on mucous membranes

and fyi about 75% of people are infected with some type of HPV, its just that some strains of the virus (there are like 80 some types) are more likely to cause cervial cancer/genital warts than others are

Fist of all you said the warts were on your legs? So if they weren't on your genitals then thats not genital warts, so she wont get hpv from having sex with you. You could have it and not even know it, but seeing that her past 5year pap tests came back normal I really would not worry at all!! I had genital warts at the age of 17 and I have always had normal pap tests I am 22 now, my doctor said not to worry about it because I have always had normal paptests and havent had a break out since I was 17. So as long as she keeps getting check ups every year don't worry!!

She may or may not have HPV, if you had the warts only on your legs chances are you are both fine. Yes you can have HPV with on symptoms even for many years. HPV causes approximatly 70% of cervical cancer.

i don't know if that kind of hpv can cause skin warts but she should probably ask her doctor about it just to make sure hpv occurs naturally in the female body so if she does end up with it it may not end up being from you but again she should talk to her doc about it
