Place the frying pan on a medium heat and add oil or butter to grease, whichever you prefer. A thin coat on the bottom of the pan is sufficient. Let it heat for a couple of minutes or so until it is very hot and starting to sizzle. Now you should break the egg into the pan by cracking it on the edge of the pan in the middle of the shell.

Don't let shell drop into the pan or go right through and break the yolk, so when you crack it, be firm but too heavy handed. Once there is a crack in it, use both your hands to break the shell open and allow the egg to come out and into the pan.

You can reduce the heat a bit once the egg is in the pan, and leave to cook slowly, don't be tempted to rush it. To work out if the egg is cooked, take a knife and place the tip into the white a little away from the yolk, and if there is now white sticking to it when you take the knife away, then the egg is cooked. The yolks should start to thicken but not be rock solid.

There are of course lots of different ways of cooking the egg and everybody has their own preference. An "over easy" egg is very popular and is turned when the whites are just about done and the yolk is quite firm.

When you flip an egg, use a spatula and slide it right under the egg, keeping it low down near the pan, and gently turn it over. Cook for about 15 seconds longer after turning.

.I'm wondering if you are asking this question because you really want to know or if you are looking for some creative answers. You have already been given instructions on the last step of frying an egg, but if you would like a more detailed and inclusive answer, I would suggest that first you see if you have the money to buy eggs, then find your car keys (or walk if you would like) and go to a store that sells eggs. When you get to the dept where the eggs are kept, you need to decide if you want brown or white eggs, small medium or large eggs and a half a doz carton, a doz carton or even a larger one. Then look them over and decide which of the cartons you like. ( please don't squeeze or shake them like we do when we are picking out other kinds of food) When you are finished shopping go to the check out area and pay for the eggs. Be very careful handling the eggs on your way home. Take the eggs inside and decide when you would like to fry them, now or later. If you have decided later, put them in the refrigerator. When you decide you want to fry them you can use one of the methods already given here on Answers or if you live where it is VERY HOT, perhaps you could fry them on the sidewalk. Whatever you decide to do, ENJOY!

Take a non stick pan (or regular pan with non stick spray), heat it to medium high heat. Crack the egg on a flat surface and drop it in the pan. Turn the heat off. Sprinkle the top of the egg with salt a pepper to your tastes. If you don't want the egg sunny side up, you can either put a lid on the pan (and the steam will cook the top) or you can flip the egg with a spatula. The longer you let it cook once you turn it over is the difference between "over easy" and over hard".

I recommend sunny side up.

If you want to scramble the egg. Crack it into a bowl, add the salt and pepper, and beat it with a fork. Add to the pan, turn the heat off, and use the spatula to constantly move the egg around the pan until it is the consistency you prefer. If you like it more moist then only leave it in the pan maybe 45 seconds to 1 minute. That is called "scrambled loose". If you keep stirring it around for about 2 minutes, that is "scrambled hard".

Heat butter or oil in a frying pan break the egg into it and fry sunny side up or turn over to fry on both sides for a firmer consistency.

Why fry it put in some boiling water and cook for 5 full minutes on boil and presto a superb egg sans fat. If it is too hard in the middle you over cooked if too runny the white will not be fully cooked you have under cooked. Enjoy. This is called a soft boiled egg.

1. heat a frying pan that has short sides(like 1-3 inches) to medium heat a non-stick pan works best.
2.put pam or butter on the pan
3.crack an egg on the center area of the pan
4.wait till the egg is ready to flip without it falling apart. don wait too long though or it will burn. if you flip it too early then it will fall apart.
5.let it fry on the other side(you should have flipped it on the other side) and wait. take it off earlier if you like it runny, and if you like it solid take the egg off later if you like it solid.
6.put it on a plate
7.get out a fork and a knife and enjoy :)

I hope this helps

non stick pan... margarine (or another oil type element of your preference) a spatula with a smooth edge...

crack open the eggs you want, fry them in the margarine (butter burns too quickly) when the whites are solid gently slide the spatula under the eggs and flip them over gently one by one.

then not very long after that use the spatula to remove them from your pan and walah! side with bread, toast, game, biscuits.. whatever.

or you can scramble them... do the same except use the spatula to bust the yolk and stir around in pan until firm.

oh add salt if you want.. for the scrambled you can add anything you want, bacon, mushrooms... peppers.. so on.
