Unfortunately Not. My son is a diabetic and has been since he was two, and despite the fact that technology is advancing he still has to take three shots of insulin a day. Scientists are working on a way to take insulin with an inhaler along the lines of an asthma inhaler but it's still a few years away. It's not a cure, but for people who are insulin shot dependant it's going to be a vast improvement. Researchers have also been working on pancreas transplants and that would cure diabetes in candidates lucky enough to find a compatible organ but again still a ways off from being a viable option.

Unfortunately, no. I know you see a lot of advertisements in these vitamin catalogs that come in the mail, but don't believe everything you read, especially ads that want your money. There are some supplements that support the normal healthy body, but once there is impairment, it's best to stick to what the doctors prescribe. Diabetes is a very serious disease, especially Type 1 which is insulin dependent. If you stop taking insulin without your doctor's OK, you could die. Supplements are for people with no health problems; supposedly keeping them from getting sick. But there are no natural cures for serious diseases, in spite of what you read. There is hope on the horizon, however, with gene therapy and stem cell research; however, this will take years before they're fully developed and ready for use on patients. Meantime, keep on the insulin -- stay alive!

If you're talking about type 1, then no. If you're talking about type II, then it depends on your definition of cure. It's possible to get off insulin with diet, exercise, and supplements. It's not a total cure to where you can pig out again, but it's an 'effective' cure where you might be able to get off medication if you're diligent with your health program. Read more:
For type I and type II diabetics (and those who are overweight and could potentially become diabetic). Copy and bookmark the webpages I‘ve listed below… they are invaluable for those with diabetes and/or weight problems...
I've found a wonderful book that will help you control your diabetes and minimize or even eliminate the complications. Some folks who became diabetic due to poor diet and obesity are effectively cured by following the advice in this book. I'm a type II (inherited), but it helps all types, especially those who became diabetic due to poor eating habits. It's by an author who has really done his homework, Patrick Quillin, Phd. It's called, "The Diabetes Improvement Program". I have tried his suggestions and found them to be very helpful. I have no complications whatsoever and my blood sugar levels are quite stable. Yes, I still have to take Metformin (Glucophage) daily, but it's the minimum dosage (500mg) and I only have to take it twice a day. I have been off Metformin for as much as a week, but this was with vigorous exercise. Many, what I call, non-hereditary type IIs (those that don't have a close relative who had it) have gotten off medication completely, just with diet, exercise, and supplements. So, in some instances, it most certainly can be 'effectively' cured. Read more about it here:

The book explains what's going on in our system and what to do about it. It's really easy and inexpensive. It's basically diet, supplements and exercise. For example, did you know that cinnamon helps blood sugar absorption? It also controls cholesterol and triglycerides. This is according to the USDA:

For men: Are you suffering from erectile dysfunction? I was. Yes, WAS. Now that everything's under control, I'm able to have nearly normal sex again. I've also put together a little webpage highlighting some of the things I've learned here:

dont know much about "natural cures", but diet and exercise..
stay away from starches...as someone who is "insulin resistant" meaning I do not use the sugar my body produces, and could develop type II diabetes, I lost about 50 pounds...my insulin has been undercontrol, and the funny thing after trying to get preg for 10 years, I have a son !!
diet and exercise are the key...drink plenty of water..
and a good drug of choice is Avandia to me..
