Definition: [hah-roo-SAH-meh] Translating as "spring rain," harusame are Japanese noodles made from soybean, rice or potato flour. They're available in Asian markets and many supermarkets. Harusame are also called cellophane noodles and Japanese vermicelli.

Yes, what he said! They're really good; have a different taste/texture from regular noodles and take on the flavor of whatever you add to them(soy, chives, hoisin, pepper)...frankly, I like mine with just a little chicken broth, some soy or just plain noodles and butter....yum.
