doctors to inplant a temporary larynx voice box to help with her lungs and when her lungs get better they can take it out? any information on this? is this true?

Probably they may do tracheotomy for her for better ventilation, Tracheotomy means that ENT Dr. is going to perform a hole in the trachea after incising the skin over it and introduce a plastic tube in it to allow air to go directly to the lungs by this procedure he is going to bypass what called dead space between nose and mouth on one side and trachea on other side the will improve ventilation [oxygenation] and this tube shall be removed after condition of mom improves and it is normally within three weeks and the hole will be closed by it self after some days.

Your information is vague. Is she currently ventilator dependent and they need to trach her? This is often done for patients that need to remain on a ventilator for long periods of time. Once the ventilator is removed, the trach can heal. Sometimes the larynx can be affected for awhile. This is just a minor complication compared to the other risks of pneumonia and sepsis for patients on ventilators.
