I'm 15 and I've been a vegetarian for more or less a year, and I've decided to start cooking for myself, but I don't really know how to cook. So, are there any suggestions on vegetarian cooking? Such as recipes, advice, sites, etc.?

so many websites.

http://vegkitchen.com/
http://www.vegsource.com/

im sure you know, but make sure you get your protein and iron! (beans, nuts, spinach, mushrooms etc.)
also, some vegetarian products are fortified with vitamins and minerals, like soy milk, because veggies might not get them in their diet on their own.
i wont give you any recipes b/c i dont know if you're a lacto- ovo or a vegan or what but hope the sites will help

for easy meals, i personally like chik nuggets and buffalo chik from morningstar (frozen) or frozen vegetarian indian meals or chinese rice noodles and add veggies to make a stir fry (add soy or terryaki sauce) or salads or tofu stir-fry or eggplant parm or portabella burgers or mariniate veggies in oil and vinegar and then put them on a skewar and grill them....

good luck.

Get my cookbook The Vegetarian Corner
order by email or my website.. www.dollardaysplus.biz After you get my cookbook don't copy the recipes exactly make
slight changes and then it's your recipe instead of mine. I love to cook. Cooking is fun and easy! Just there's one part of it I don't like that's the clean up end. But making your own dishes is really worth the effort if you learn to get good at cooking! If you are going to write a cookbook you should learn to cook. Who's going to buy a cookbook from someone that isn't a cook? I know I wouldn't!

Your best bet is to try ethnic cooking. there are lots of Indian vegetarian recipes, for example. There are some vegan recipes at http://www.ivu.org/recipes/ that look pretty good.

There's also a good cookbook by Nava Atlas called Vegetarian Express (http://www.amazon.com/Vegetarian-Express-Healthy-Menus-Minutesor/dp/0316057401/sr=1-3/qid=1157310570/ref=pd_bbs_3/102-7507413-9884962?ie=UTF8&s=books)
that's good for beginners. It has easy recipes and full meal plans, which comes in handy. You might try and find a used copy, since it's out of print.
