mother's age 50, wt=58 kgs, has cough and some times blood comes at irregular interval of 2-4yrs. chest ct scan shows diffused reticular opacities in both lungs, no definite bronchiectatic changes.

There are a number of things that could be. She needs to find out what's going on with her lungs and get it taken care of.

Yes. It looks like it could be COPD, but it depends on the history of the patient.
