I've had thrush. Not a white coated tongue, but white spots on your tongue and mouth and they HURT when you drink some things.

a thick white coating inside your mouth...can be your tongue, but you'll see it inside your cheeks easiest. It is uncomfortable. It often comes in people with low immunity or people who had very strong antibiotics for awhile. There are medications for it, a thick cream that must be applied several times daily using a swab.

Thrush can occur in mouth and also in vagina. in mouth you get coated tongue and in vagina you have white curd like discharge.
