My friends always offer something like a bottle of wine, carton of beer or sometimes even chocolates & deserts. It depends what is on the menu and if it is casual or formal. I don't ask for anything but I usually get a bottles of wine. It's just a nice gesture to take something but often the fact that you turn up makes the person thae happiest.

You should come with a hostess gift. I'd say a bottle of wine would be perfect, flowers or something from a specialty shop. One hint, don't expect the hostess to serve any food or wine item you might bring with dinner that night. It is considered a gift to be used when she deems fit.

A bottle of wine or bourbon (Knob Creek, Maker's Mark, Woodford Reserve, Buffalo Trace). How about a bouquet of flowers or a pound of a good coffee beans (have them ground in case they don't have a coffee grinder). Make a trip to Williams Sonoma for gourmet salts, teas, sauces, candies, aprons etc. Or take her a new cookbook. Williams-Sonoma has a great selection of cookbooks and I personally have a collection I use frequently.

Flowers or wine. A good hostess gift is also a nice napkin set. She will appreciate it especially if you know for a fact that she has lots of get togethers.

A host/hostess gift is always thoughtful. A sweet smelling candle, a small plant, soap or hand lotion, or a nice wine bottle opener...just some ideas...

You reported it your self- you do no longer have faith her. with out have faith, there is not any relationship. And it looks like she desires to do her very own element and have you ever there waiting while she comes back. No way became she attempting to guard you- if she fairly cared she might have advised her buddy no, that she became no longer likely in case you weren't going. perhaps she had yet another guy who became on the party? perhaps she became as much as a minimum of a few thing she knew you will not approve of? in spite of everything, looks such as you want area from one yet another.

They probably dont want you to bring any food because they have everything they need. Wine is a good choice, they will probably end up saving it, but its the thought that counts! Have fun at your party!!

Assuming you are old enough for alcohol, but a bottle of wine is always good. If not, flowers are always appreciated, a little plant, a box of chocolates. Or you could ask if you could bring anything. If the answer is still no, then bring one of these things listed anyway.
