there are 8 types of herpes: herpes simplex 1 and 2, varicella zoster virus - HSV3, Epstein Barr - HSV4, cytomegalovirus - HSV5, HSV6 and 7, HSV 8 - kaposi sarcoma.
there is no cure for herpes as it is a latent infection. this means that one can only treat the symptoms. but the virus remains in the lumbosacral part of the bone marrow. it is asymptomatic there, but once it receives stressful stimuli like UV radiation, stress, sunburn it becomes reactivated. the dr can prescribe antivirals, but it only supresses the symptoms.
as for HSV3 - one develops memory cells - the B-cells of the immune system and everytime we get exposed to the virus, it is phagocytosed by the immune system and that is why we do not get chicken pox again, but if the immune system is supressed by HIV, steroids or other immunosupressants, we may get zoster - shingles.
thus, the virus stays in our system all our lives, but we only get the symptoms if it is reactivated.

No there is no cure for herpes, there is just treatment. There is medication to suppress the virus and get rid of the sores from an outbreak. The sores can always come back though, this is called a reoccurring outbreak.
I contracted genital herpes when I was 17 years old. I've had it for over 5 years now. The good thing about having genital herpes for a long time though is the longer you have it the less outbreaks a person typically gets. I personally have not had an outbreak in almost 2 years.

If you mean a cure that removes the virus from your body, no. If you mean a treatment to control the severity of the outbreak, yes. Unfortunately nothing can yet fully cure a person from herpes.
Herpes Simplex
Herpes simplex virus causes a skin infection that is recurrent and cannot be permanently cured. The virus is of two types commonly referred to as HSV1 and HSV2. Herpes causes blisters and sores. After an initial attack, it may recur again after some months or years. Anybody can get this infection and it spreads by body contact. Herpes simplex virus remains dormant in the body forever and flares up for some reasons. Herpes virus causes two kinds of infections- oral herpes also called as cold sores or fever blisters and genital herpes.
As this infection is fairly widespread, especially in sexually active individuals, it is important that you understand more about it and know how to prevent it. The common sites that get affected are lips (cold sores) and genital area (genital herpes). Both the viruses can affect lips and genital areas. But virus type 2 rarely causes active sores in the oral area while virus type 1 can cause herpes in the genital area. People carry many misconceptions about herpes. Let us find out more about Cold Sores and Genital Herpes.

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/herpescure2015hfPh
Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

There is no treatment that can cure herpes, but antiviral medications can shorten and prevent outbreaks during the period of time the person takes the medication. In addition, daily suppressive therapy for symptomatic herpes can reduce transmission to partners.
With that said, the herb called the "Herbal Herpes Cure" is Prunella Vulgaris. It is a common weed (and also a highly esteemed medicinal herb) that has been used for centuries for internal and external wounds. Scientists have successfully used an agent derived from the herb, Prunella vulgaris, to prevent the disease in animals. The research into the use of this herb is far from complete, but it looks promising.
I hope this helps.

No there not a cure. Herpes is a virus in your system. Just like when you get an ulcar inside your mouth or if you ever had chicken pots as a kid. There all viruses.
