according to your symptoms, you might be having ischemia(only a little blood getting to your heart), or infarction(heart attack, no blood to your heart). both are bad. some people, especially women, have atypical chest pain. it does not feel like the pain everyone talks about, like an elephant sitting on your chest. some people say it feels more like a tightness in your chest rather than a "pain" you may also have:
* Sensation of indigestion or discomfort in the abdomen
* Dizziness
* Breathing difficulty
* Excessive sweatiness
* Nausea or vomiting
* Pain, pressure, or numbness in the neck, jaw, upper or mid back, or arms.
You can also break out into a cold sweat.
I don't understand why your doctor is waiting for a stress test. You probably need a cardiac catheterization so they can visualize the blood vessels leading to your heart muscle and see if you have a blockage. If I were you, I would go to the ER immediately. A week is way too long to wait.

i also had triple 5 years ago and my angina is coming back especially this cold weather but why the Indian food should bring on your angina i cant even think! so i suggest before you go out to dine take a couple of sprays say i hr before and i feel that might help you . I daresay you,like me, feel very annoyed for the Angina to return after going through the "op" but good luck to you I'm 25 years older than you so I'm in a more precarious position and live on my own I can think of better things at least you have your loved ones close. Bye and summer will bring the warm weather soon

It's best that you let your doctor tell you what he thinks. My brother is a Cardiologist and I use to work for him. There could be lots of answers but with your symptoms it could be something and it could be nothing. That's why your doing a stress test to see how much stress your heart can take. This will help your doctor to determine what med.'s to put you on and how much. If you have a weight issue this will cause more stress on your heart so make sure you ask him about a good diet and get into a good exercise routine and eat lower cholesterol foods and lay off the butter and fats. Also drink less coffee and cokes, diet or not. They both have alot of caffeine which isn't good either. You can still have them just limit yourself a week. If your in pain now then you need to go to the ER , they can call your physician and let him know what is going on . You don't want to Waite to long.

angina is a chest pain that is relieved by rest. if u r experiencing chest pain, u should consult a dr bec the dr should do a blood test within 6 hours to know whether it is a heart attack or what. stress will tells u if u have some problem with ur heart so go on with it. usially within few hours after the stress test u will know the result. if u r positive, the dr will send you for a cardiac cath to see if there is any blockage in ur arteries that sometimes causes the feeling of nausea and about to pass out.
you cant say what to found in the test by simply having the symptoms, the dr needs some lab test like cardiac enzymes and the stress test.

Well it's a good thing you are seeing a doctor. Nevertheless, some years ago I had the pain like you described. It turned out it was pulled muscles in both shoulder blades from helping carry a heavy piece of furniture. I was sure I was having a heart attack. After 3 ultrasound treatments, the pain went away and never came back. But by having all the tests, you can rule out more serious things.

Possibly a heart problem. Sometimes reflux (from the stomach) can cause the same symptoms. The stress test results may indicate that you will need a heart cath. to know for sure if there is a blockage or not.
God bless. I will be praying for you.

Take care of your body, avoid fats, excercise.
