Asthma is not an illness that you "catch" or develop from contact with pollution. It is more closely related to allergies and immune system problems. If you have asthma it can be severely aggravated by air pollution and stress as well. Living in the country will not cure your asthma but the cleaner air will result in many fewer attacks. The slower pace of live away from the city may also help to reduce your stress levels which will aid you too.

Probably, I always heard the desert was a good place if you have asthma. But the dust and ragweed killed me. My allergies bother me the least when I am by the ocean. There may be more livestock and hay in the country which might cause problems or some vegetation that you are allergic to.

Yes. However you could be very well controlled. If you smoke, stop. That is a huge trigger. Smoking induced asthma is the only one I've ever known or heard of stopping entirely.

Your asthma symptoms MIGHT disappear in time.......or, you may develop a whole new set of asthma symptoms from your new environment. Asthma sucks huh!

If you actually had asthma and not another respitory illness, then yes, you will always have it. You are just away from factors that triggered your symptoms.

If you are allergic to animals, grasses or trees. It depends on your allergy. If it is house dust, it is right there.
